If in Tokyo and you want to see the sights quickly, this is the walk. Go down Omotesando Blvd past the chichi boutiques and bistros, to the Harajuku pedestrian overhead passageway and observe the Goth/Cosplay freak show below. Then continue towards Yoyogi Park where you'll soon find rockers and rockettes and lots of bad hairstyles. Return to Harujuku Station and go down Takeshita Dori opposite, and you find yourself in the home, heart and nerve centre of Tokyo Goth. The photos below show just another weekend with all the regular characters on hand. The characters may be constant but the scene is always changing... as seen this time when, lo and behold, the St. Patrick's Day parade came marching by.
